A tall tree across the street went into severe distress this last year. Don’t know what killed it, but they had to take it down. The tree was dry enough that a single match made a broken-off branch light up like a box of matches. Here is the tree last year at the end of March.
Workers made fast work of taking the tree down.
The view in the same direction now shows a power pole. It has been there for a long time. The tree just masked the presence of the pole. If you look at the first picture for the day, you can see it…did you, when you first saw the picture? What else do we miss that is in plain sight? We often base our beliefs and thoughts on first impressions. I always wonder just what many people miss by not taking a second look or a look beyond.
